A fantastic month for Digimon fans

July will be a fantastic month to get Digimon lovers. Now, the “Digimon Corner” segment of the most recent issue of V-Jump cites that, “Something big is happening” in the next month’s issue of this magazine. Unfortunately, additional details about what this news might be, have not been divulged. But it has something to do with Digimon Survive, which we have not heard since mid-2018. It is likely it may be something regarding this forthcoming 2020 Digimon Adventure film, but that is improbable.

As you might be aware, Digimon Survive is poised to launch sometime this season. It seems sensible that we’ll most likely hear about it. We do not know much, however, Bandai Namco has supplied the pitch to the name:

“Celebrating the 20th anniversary of this Digimon anime, Digimon Survive introduces a fresh adventure set in a mystical universe with characters made by Uichi Ukumo, and songs from the much-acclaimed Tomoki Miyoshi. Digimon Survive sees a new group of teens, headed by Takuma Momozuka, get dropped on a school camping trip, locating them hauled into some strange new world of critters and threat. As they struggle their way back home via a world of battles and decisions, players’ decisions during the game will affect the ending, along with the development of the creature allies. Battles in the sport are scrapped 2D, at a more timeless SRPG style.”
