Hulk is one of the most underrated characters in the MCU. They even deleted a Hulk vs Banner deleted scene in Infinity War which could have provided more depth to his character. For better or for worse, many thought that his character arc had come to a end in Avengers: Endgame. But it might not really be the case according to Mark Ruffalo.

Btw, you think the Hulk is strong and deserves to be in the Avengers? We think he won’t stand a chance against these DC heroes:

Mark Ruffalo has hinted at the fact that he might not be done playing Bruce Banner yet. At Tokyo Comic-Con, he revealed conversations with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about his future in the MCU. He said:

“Kevin Feige just asked me last week if I had any more ideas or stories for the Hulk. And I said yeah, I think there’s still some stories to tell. And he said, ‘Well why don’t you come in and tell me about them and we’ll see if we can find a place for you in the Marvel universe?'”

Hulk Vs Wolverine?

What are those “ideas” you ask? Well one of those ideas involves one of the characters Marvel re-acquired through The Walt Disney Co.’s purchase of 20th Century Fox. More precisely it’s Hulk vs. Wolverine which Mark Ruffalo wants to see.

Wolverine is definitely more closely associated with the X-Men but he has also been part of The Avengers. As for fighting the Hulk, he has done that as well. Created by Roy Thomas, Len Wein, and John Romita Sr., Wolverine fought the Hulk and Wendigo in his first appearance in The Incredible Hulk #184 in 1974.

This story could potentially work as Wolverine’s introduction in the MCU. Additionally, if they label it as a Wolverine movie rather than a Hulk movie then they can get around whatever issues Universal Pictures has in regards to Hulk titled and branded movies. But we have an inkling that Kevin Feige would first like to introduce Wolverine with the X-Men before staging a fight with The Hulk. But the question now is- who will play Wolverine? (Mark Millar has some ideas for it)
