“I am an adult woman”: Riverdale Star Lili Reinhart Takes A Subtle Dig At CW For Not Allowing Actors To “Kiss With Tongue”, Says She Wants More Adult Roles
Lili Reinhart recently revealed a rule that every Riverdale star has to follow while filming the show. The actress recently appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and revealed that the actors “aren’t even really allowed to kiss with tongue” while filming kissing scenes. She also talked about exploring more “adult” roles as soon as she is done with CW’s Riverdale. She said she doesn’t want to be known only for one role but wants to explore new, more complex, characters.

Lili Reinhart revealed that actors have to follow this one rule
Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper in the show, told podcast host Josh Horowitz that all actors who are working in Riverdale “aren’t even really allowed to kiss with tongue.” She revealed that CW strictly asked her not to use her tongue while filming kissing scenes for the show.

The actress wants to play different characters
On the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actress also said that she wants to play more complex characters as soon as she is done with Riverdale. She said,
“I have a lot of sort of dramatic, deep roles in my future after Riverdale. Definitely roles that you have not seen me in—I’m an adult! I’m an adult woman and I’m going to start playing those more adult roles.”
She emphasized that she wants to play more “adult” roles in the future.

She is currently working on the seventh season of Riverdale
Lili Reinhart is currently working on Riverdale‘s seventh and final season. She also talked about how people only know her as Betty Cooper and how she’s trying to play different roles to get rid of that label. She said,
“I’ve played the same role as Betty for what will be seven seasons and it’s very important to be strategic. I don’t want to be a Scream Queen, I don’t want to be the queen of rom-coms or anything like that. It’s why I want to put my hand in all the baskets and try everything.”
She recently appeared in the romantic comedy-drama film Look Both Ways, which is available to stream on Netflix right now.
