We’re the Millers’ actor Will Poulter will debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his character Adam Warlock in the upcoming Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3. The third volume of the MCU movie will be returning with their old characters, Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star-Lord), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Dave Bautista (Drax), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Sean Gunn (Kraglin/on-set Rocket), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), and Vin Diesel (Groot).
James Gunn directed the third sequel has already wrapped filming and is set to release in 2023. The 29-year-old actor was confirmed to be joining the MCU for the film with his role as Adam Warlock back in October 2021. According to the IMDB profile, Poulter is well acclaimed for his role in movies like 2007’s Son of Rambow, 2010’s Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and Kenny Rossmore in We’re the Millers (2013).
Will Poulter Opened Up About His Character Adam Warlock in The Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3
In an interview with US Weekly, Poulter opened up about the challenges he went through to prepare for his role as Adam Warlock in the third sequel of the MCU film. He shared, “There have been some challenges relative to the physical preparations for the character. I’m sort of hesitant to talk about it just because I don’t know what it looks like yet. So I’m sort of nervous to say anything until I’ve seen because I don’t even know if what I did or went through even worked yet.”
He also mentioned how he was supported with the diet and training that helped him in his role. “But I will say that I was incredibly well supported and couldn’t have had more help in the respect of the diet and the training that was required. That was key. Certainly not something I went away and did on my own.”
Will Poulter Showed Gratitude to Marvel Fans
Son of Rambow star shared how he was ‘grateful’ to the Marvel fans sharing, “But I’m really grateful for the support I’ve had thus far from the Marvel community and from everyone involved with Guardians to date. I’m excited for people to see the movie and see what they make of it. … Very glad I was along for the ride.”
He previously shared in an interview with Collider about him being a big fan and showing how grateful he is to be in The Guardians of The Galaxy, “I’ve gotta say, I never banked on being involved, in any capacity, really, but I’m certainly very grateful. I’m especially grateful that my introduction has taken place in the world of the Guardians, specifically. It’s a franchise that I’m a particularly big fan of, and I couldn’t ask for a nicer, more fun introduction, really, into the Marvel universe.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to be released on May 5, 2023.
