JK Rowling Skipped on the 20th-anniversary reunion of the Harry Potter movies.

On Saturday, while talking on a talk show, Rowling explained why she wasn’t there for the reunion special. She revealed that she was invited to the show. The author said, “I was asked to be on that, and I decided I didn’t want to do it.” She felt that the focus of the reunion special was more on the movies than the books. “That was what the anniversary was about” Rowling added.

Many people were speculating that Rowling did join the series because of her Twitter controversy. But, she further explained that she wasn’t pressured into not attending the show. It was her own personal decision.

In a recent incident, JK Rowling was called out on Twitter after making some transphobic tweets. The tweets were called out by the cast of Harry Potter movies as well. After Rowling spoke out about her fellow author, Salman Rushdie’s stabbing incident. She also received multiple death threats. She said, “Social media can be a lot of fun, and I do like the pub argument aspect of it.” The author further said, “I try to behave online as I would like others to behave.
