The 81-year-old tomato industry groundbreaker and longtime leader of DiMare Fresh, Paul DiMare passed away on December 30, 2022. His company is considered to be the largest grower of fresh-market tomatoes in the U.S., which is how he earned the nickname Mr. Tomato.
To pay homage to the late personality, Alex Rodriguez took to Instagram and posted a photo of the duo sporting black suits. He wrote a brief about the former’s life and how he had a significant role in the latter’s life.
He also opened up about how DiMare’s little generosity helped him. He stated how a late friend of his financed his education at Westminster Christian School, which his family could not afford. “That one act of kindness would change the course of my entire life.
He shared,
“I love you. I miss you. I honor you. And I thank you.”
In conclusion, he just wanted his “friend, mentor, and hero” to rest in peace. While he is mourning his friend’s death, his former wife, Jennifer Lopez is also struggling in her marriage.
