Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries is set to release on Netflix this month. The streaming platform has also released the teaser for the series titled Harry & Meghan. However, seems like the hosts of the chat show, The View, are already annoyed with all the royal drama. The co-hosts of the show expressed their annoyance over Netflix’s Harry & Meghan.

The teaser for the docuseries did receive a huge reaction, but most of it included criticism for some sections of the teaser. The main criticism is focused on their portrayal in the series and the timing of its release.

Ana Navarro Thinks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Great at Marketing

While discussing the upcoming Netflix docuseries, Alyssa Farah Griffin said that the documentary focuses on the couple “perpetuating putting themselves in the public eye when that’s what they were trying to avoid.”

Ana Navarro then praised Netflix’s marketing strategy saying, “First of all, I think Netflix is great at marketing, and I think Harry and Meghan are great at marketing themselves.” She then mentioned that the couple has earned millions of dollars by telling their story so far, and they are really good at it.

The View host further added that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not have the power to decide when the docuseries will release, but they might have the power to tell Netflix, “Don’t drop it when my brother is here.”

Ana Navarro seemed mostly irritated with the way they have been portrayed. She said, “I just wish that every time I saw Meghan and Harry, they weren’t crying and wiping away tears. The show host said,

I gotta tell you something: If what they want is privacy and to get away from the royal family, they got a hell of a way of doing it.”

Netflix has already released the teaser and is also planning to drop the trailer of the series soon. Last month it was reported that the couple had asked Netflix to delay the release until next year. However, Netflix did not consider their advice, and the reason could be simply as Navarro said, smart marketing.

The View Hosts Discuss Netflix’s Harry & Meghan

The co-hosts of The View discussed the timing for the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries. While some of them slammed the couple for releasing the teaser, others claimed that it might not be under their control.

Joy Behar raised a question, “So, do you make anything of this release? Do you think it was deliberate?” Her co-host Sunny Hostin said she did not believe that the couple has the power to decide when the trailer would be released.

“Well, I didn’t realize they had that much power within Netflix, that they could say, ‘We’re gonna drop it now because my brother and his, you know, his wife is coming to the states,” Hostin said.

When Behar asked why Netflix made the decision instead of Prince Harry and Meghan Merkle, Griffin called it smart marketing. However, Sunny Hostin continued to deny that they had any say in the decision. Netflix has still not revealed the official release date of Harry & Meghan.
