The last scene of Avengers: Infinity War saw Nick Fury and Maria Hill in transit to a meet with obscure parties, so as to manage the presence of Thanos’ alien powers on Earth. Sadly, Fury and Hill never made it where they were going, as Thanos’ finger snap with the Infinity Gauntlet caused a Decimation Event that wiped out half of all life known to man – including Fury and Hill.

All things considered, in the event that you were too upset with Fury and Hill’s demises, or too amped up for Fury putting in the call to Captain Marvel, you may have missed one major detail: Exactly who Hill and Fury were en route to see when The Decimation happened. Remember, Cameron Klein?

This is Cameron Klein. He’s the guy Fury and Hill were supposed to meet during the post-credit scene from IW. So, unless he’s dusted, I think he’s gonna have a role in Endgame. from r/marvelstudios

On the off chance that you don’t have a photographic memory for each and every character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Cameron Klein is a former SHIELD professional. He established a heroic connection amid Captain America: The Winter Soldier, when he declined to dispatch the dangerous Helicarriers that HYDRA and Alexander Pierce needed to dispatch – regardless of the fact that Brock Rumlow had a gun squeezed to the back of his head. Klein was saved from having his cerebrums smothered by Sharon Carter, as SHIELD ascended against HYDRA in the “Fight at the Triskelion.

After HYDRA’s uprising, Klein remained faithful to Nick Fury, joining his group of SHIELD followers. Klein was most recently seen assuming a noteworthy job in Fury’s rescue operation amid the “Clash of Sokovia” in Avengers: Age of Ultron. It was, in reality, Klein who propelled the “lifeboats” from the old SHIELD Helicarrier Fury has appropriated – and once again barely got away with his life, as an Ultron Sentry almost took him out, until Fury and Hill saved him.

In the Infinity War post-credits scene, Fury and Hill are getting readings of Thanos’ ships’ arrival in Wakanda, and Fury advises Hill to contact Kelin to meet them in Wakanda. In light of history, it may be the case that Fury required Klein’s skill to dispatch another rescue mission – or release some sort of weapon to enable Earth to battle back.

In any case, Marvel fans now theorize that Klein was name-dropped in Infinity War for some reason. With restricted resources on the specialized front, having Klein survive The Decimation could be a critical tool for helping The Avengers conceivably cross space or potentially time to pay back Thanos or prevent The Decimation from occurring.
