The full trailer of Thor: Love and Thunder is out. It has shared the first look of Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. Gorr is one of the strongest and most powerful villains in the Thor comics. Also, it could be possible that his All Black is a match or stronger than Mjolnir. The villain from Thor 4 is set on a personal mission to kill all Gods. He acquires the All Black when he learned that Gods exist. The sword he wields gives him the strength to kill Gods. And Thor is on his list too. With him coming into MCU, it might be interesting to see the powers it holds in the movie.

When Mjolnir was first introduced in MCU, it was one of the most powerful weapons. Only the worthy can wield it. In the very first movie of Thor, Mjolnir was unmoved even by huge vehicles. Only when Thor regains his power, he is able to lift it. Even in the Avengers: The Age of Ultron, everyone tries to lift the hammer but cannot. But later the powerful weapon ends up being destroyed by Hela, Thor’s sister. It makes a comeback in Avengers: Endgame and Captain America were able to wield it too. In Thor: Love and Thunder’s trailer we see Jane wielding the hammer, dressed as Lady Thor.

Gorr’s All Black is a sword he acquired from a primal God of Darkness, Knull. It is not his own but it bound with him. Now, Knull created the sword to destroy the Celestials and return the universe to darkness. The Celestial that he killed appeared is now known as the place, Knowhere. In the Marvel comics, it a a feared weapon as it created firm “living darkness.” The wielder gets the power of darkness and can summon things from pure darkness. It also gives them inhuman speed and flight.

We will get to see the dual between the wielders of the two weapons on July 8, when the movie comes out. That is when the debate would finally settle. From the trailer, it seems a new adventure awaits the God of Thunder, while he decided to adopt peace. But it really is not a choice he can make.

Chris Hemsworth is reprising his role as Thor, with Natalie Portman coming back as Jane Foster. The moive also includes Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Jaimie Alexander, Taika Waititi, Russell Crowe, with the Guardian of the Galaxy cast. It includes  Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper.
