Britney Spears is free after 13 years of a cruel conservatorship under her father Jamie Spears. One of the first orders of business for the ‘Princess of Pop’ after getting her freedom was to marry her long-time boyfriend, Sam Asghari. Things seem to be taking a turn for the better as Spears said that her sons are getting along really well with Asghari finally giving her the domestic bliss that she has always craved. The singer has even teased a musical comeback and her fans could not be happier. She is also winning against her father on the legal front and was recently relieved of any obligations to answer her father or his lawyers. However, Spears’ recent Instagram post is causing quite a stir.

A Catholic Church snubbed the Princess of Pop

In a recent Instagram post that she has now deleted, Britney Spears called out a Catholic church for not allowing her and Sam Asghari to have their wedding ceremony on its premises. The reason that she claimed the church cited was that she was not a practicing member of the church. She shared a picture of a church (whose name she didn’t reveal) while a wedding was taking place there, and captioned the post

“This is where I originally wanted to get married during COVID !!!! I wanted to go every Sunday … it’s beautiful and they said it was temporarily shut down due to COVID !!!! Then 2 years later when I wanted to get married there they said I had to be catholic and go through TEST !!!! Isn’t church supposed to be open to all ????”

Spears has been raised as a Southern Baptist and has studied Kabbalah.

Some of the latter’s comments were:

“Britney coming for the church. Iconic”

Another fan wrote, “Godney has spoken”

Some followers didn’t refrain from schooling the Toxic singer with comments like:

“Giiiirrll this is a MESS! To get married in the Catholic Church yes you have to be catholic it’s not just a random venue”.

Another follower explained, “You have to be Catholic to get married in a Catholic Church. It’s always been that way”.

Yet another wrote, “Some traditions need to be respected Britney”.
