Ana de Armas is a Cuban actress who has won many hearts for her acting skills and her fantastic fashion style, which has captivated both men and women alike. She first rose to fame with her role as a holographic AI in the sci-fi movie Blade Runner 2049 in 2017.  Now she is all set to portray Marilyn Monroe in her new movie Netflix’s Blonde.

Ana de Armas spent Quite some time preparing for The Role

In an interview, the Deep Water actress said that she had to practice a lot for perfecting Monroe’s accent. In order to get the voice and accent right, the actress rehearsed for 9 months. The actress said, “It only took me nine months of dialect coaching and practicing, and some ADR sessions.” The actress continued with “It was a big torture, so exhausting.

Although she almost managed to nail the American accent in the movie, purists wanted a 100% authentic feeling biopic and are a tad bit disappointed with the trailer.

The Cuban actress said that she knows now how it was for women back in the day, and for things in general as well. She said, “And how if you don’t have a strong base, with your family and so on, it’s really hard to make it through — really hard.”

Fans are not happy with the Trailer

Marilyn Monroe fans claim the film is disrespectful to the iconic actress’s legacy. The fans of the legend actress took it to Twitter to share their discontent about the movie’s trailer and their disappointment.

The Gray Man actress has called the experience the most intense she has ever had while filming, and some of the fans are all for it and are appreciating her dedication to the iconic role.

Some fans are convinced that this movie has the potential to be the best movie of the year.

The movie will be released on September 23, 2022, on Netflix. Alongside Ana de Armas, the lead cast includes Adrien Brody and Bobby Cannavale.
