Riley Keough is an American actress and the granddaughter of Elvis Presley. The actress married Ben Smith-Petersen in 2015 and is now starring in a new mini-series Daisy Jones & the Six on Prime Video.
She recently dropped by Late Nights with Seth Meyers to plug her new show and shared a hilarious experience she had with her husband while she was at it. People might think having their spouses on set is fun, but this experience proved to be otherwise for Keough.
Riley Keough felt really awkward pretending to have s*x with her husband on camera
Nobody would have thought Riley Keough‘s weirdest on-screen intimacy experience would be with her own husband. Keough revealed that Daisy Jones & the Six producers had an excellent choice in mind when it came to casting a “random person” with whom Keough’s character in the show shares a steamy scene. The team approached Ben Smith-Petersen with the offer and he obliged. The host Seth Meyers then proceeded to ask her if the experience was at all enjoyable, and Keough answered,
“It was more awkward,–Seth said it sounds good in the beginning, but less so the more he thought about it. I think that they were thinking it would be less awkward, then we got there and like this is really uncomfortable,”
The star admitted she had a really hard time distinguishing between reel and real,
“Because, I mean, like, for one, I’ve never had pretend s*x with my husband–And I feel like I really kept feeling inclined to be like, ‘In real life, it’s not like this,–And then I was like, I’ll just you know, keep that to myself'”
Although she tried being “very professional” during the scenes, she couldn’t help but giggle in between the takes. She then finally admitted,
“It was so weird”

How did Riley Keough and Ben Smith-Petersen meet?
The two love birds met on the sets of Mad Max: Fury Road in 2012. Ben Smith-Petersen is an Australian stuntman and reportedly impressed the actress with his charm. The couple started dating a year later while doing re-shoots in Australia for the same movie. And since then Keough was sure he was the man she would end up marrying. In an interview with Stephen Colbert, she said,
“When I met my husband, he came out of the gas station on our second date and I thought, ‘I’m going to marry him and have kids with him,’”
Riley Keough recently lost her mother Lisa Marie Presley and a statement in the letter from the actress to her late mother read by Smith-Petersen revealed the couple has welcomed a daughter in recent years. It stated,
“Thank you for showing me love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters,”
She is now eternally grateful for the people and opportunities she has in her life and hopes to spread joy among people with her talent.
