Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s legal battle is one of today’s biggest news stories. Now that the ex-couple’s ongoing feud over their formerly shared winery has worsened, netizens are dragging them into the midst of another high-profile Hollywood couple – Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
According to a new court filing, Jolie’s ex-husband physically abused her and their children. The couple started dating in 2005 and got married in 2014. However, in September 2016, the actress filed for divorce six days after Brad Pitt physically abused her on a private flight.
Like Amber Heard, Angelina Jolie faces a PR nightmare
One incident should not be stigmatized, especially when the authorities do not believe it. This week, Angelina Jolie filed court papers accusing Brad Pitt of assaulting her and her children on a private flight from France to Los Angeles in September 2016. Recently, social media has been buzzing about the new court filing. Jolie is expected to suffer a similar fate as Amber Heard, who lost a defamation suit against her ex-husband Johnny Depp earlier this year.
In contrast to Brad Pitt’s and Angelina Jolie’s case, Pitt’s fans claim the allegations are made-up. At the same time, Jolie’s worshippers are furious that Pitt has been able to get away with so many abuse allegations despite her complaints for years.
Christopher Bouzy Tweeted, expecting a comparison between the two ex-couple’s cases,
“Back in June, I warned everyone that accounts targeting Amber Heard would eventually shift focus to a new victim, and unfortunately, I was correct. Unfortunately, the same insidious tactics used against Amber Heard are now being used against Angelina Jolie, and it’s only going to get worse…”.

This only came about because Pitt wanted Jolie and the children to sign an agreement not to speak about any verbal or physical abuse. Sign of an innocent man. 🙄— Junaid Aslam (@junaid_aslam) October 5, 2022
My own hate for AH was based on the evidence presented at trial. I’m not delusional enough to say there weren’t some things that made JD look suspect, but the preponderance of the evidence was against AH and her claims. Meanwhile, I know nothing about this situation with BP & AJ— Andrew Riley (@AndrewR506) October 5, 2022
A Look Back at Angelina Jolie’s 2016 Private Plane Incident
The document states, Brad Pitt shook Jolie’s head before grabbing her shoulders and slapping her again before pushing her against the bathroom wall.
In the document, Pitt allegedly shouted at Jolie for being submissive to the children and dragged her into the bathroom back of their jet. Then, Pitt lunged at his child before Jolie’ grabbed at him to stop as one of the children spoke up.
In accordance with the court filing, Pitt hurt Jolie’s back and elbow by throwing himself back into the airplane seats. To protect one another, the children rushed in and fought bravely. However, it wasn’t over until Pitt choked one kid and smacked another in the face.’ Her lawyers claim, Jolie and her children remained silent until the plane landed.
Angelina Jolie Vs. Brad Pitt: The Ongoing Legal Battle
Jolie recently filed a new complaint against her ex-husband, accusing him of displaying physical abuse. However, in the same context, Brad Pitt’s source and their original claim that he choked, no one stood by their earlier statement. Furthermore, an FBI investigation of the incident resulted in Pitt denying all allegations about the incident.
Sources claims, Angelina Jolie sold her stake to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler without Brad Pitt’s consent, leading to a legal complaint from Brad Pitt. In addition to the court filing, the couple has been engaged in a custody battle over their six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.
