As reported by sources, Tom Brady has faced marital problems since April. The legendary quarterback allegedly came out of retirement back in April without even consulting his wife.

According to sources, the couple officially filed for divorce earlier this week in Florida. An attorney allegedly told Page Six, that the couple was extremely “smart” in filing for divorce late. It helped them save their public image. Divorce attorney, Jacqueline Newman said, “They very often will settle behind closed doors before they let anyone in.”

They have filed for a divorce in Florida where the documents are accessible to the public as well. The attorney said, “You’re not only negotiating issues of custody and issues of finances, but you also have to be very careful if your public image is very valuable.” She said it is the smarter thing to do rather than just let everyone in public know about your marital problems.

When Tom Brady announced his coming out of retirement, he reportedly got into a huge fight with his wife Gisele Bundchen. As it turns out, he did not consult his wife about this decision. Bundchen has always been open about her support for her husband. The Brazilian designer even moved to Boston to raise her kids Benjamin, 12, Vivian, 9, and Brady’s 15-year-old son, Jack, whom he shares with his ex.

Gisele Bundchen wrote on her Instagram story, “We have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always.” Brady also had some final parting words for his ex-partner. He wrote, “We only wish the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written.”

As reported by sources, the couple has already agreed on a mutual marital agreement that remains confidential.
