Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are among Hollywood’s most popular couples. They were linked after starring in the 2011 film Green Lantern and soon started dating and got married. The couple has a beautiful family with three kids and is expecting their fourth child. The father of three is hoping that his next child will be a daughter. However, it is not easy to manage kids while being in the spotlight and with a busy schedule.
While many Hollywood stars choose to hire a nanny to take care of their kids, Reynolds and Lively prefer taking care of their children themselves. The couple has opted for a strict no-nanny rule and spends as much time as possible with their kids.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Not Interested in Hiring a Nanny
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have three children and are expecting their fourth child. Both of them are excited to welcome their child into the world. However, considering their busy schedule, taking care of three children would not be an easy task.
Unlike many Hollywood celebrities, they do not prefer having a nanny for their children.“I have no problem waking up five times in the middle of the night and changing diapers, and as exhausted as you get, I have this stupid grin on my face all the time,” the Red Notice actor told People.
Not only do they adjust their schedules accordingly, but they are also very careful with the words they use around their children. The Gossip Girl star shared that they once joked about how their daughter is bossy. However, the Deadpool star did not want to use the word ‘bossy‘ for his daughter. ‘I don’t ever want to use that word again. You’ve never heard a man called bossy,” he said.
Blake Lively further said, “There would never be any negative connotation for a man being a boss, so to add a negative on a woman being bossy? It’s belittling.” She claimed that the term ‘bossy‘ is used as a negative adjective for women and it discourages them to take on the leading roles in the future.
How do Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Plan Their Schedule?
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively never leave an opportunity to praise each other. The Green Lantern star said during one of his interviews that his wife is the one who really showed him how to be a good parent. The Accepted star has also praised her husband for being the best version of himself.
During her interview with Glamour, Lively shared how the couple plans their schedule in a way that it does not overlap. It is one of the few rules that they follow as they draw out their schedule. The Hick star shared that they never shoot films at the same time and if the filming is scheduled for elsewhere, the whole family travels to the location.
They followed the same rule when Reynolds was filming Deadpool in Vancouver. “My husband’s shooting Deadpool (at the time), and I’m here for the full shoot. We don’t work at the same time. We’re here as a family, then we’ll pack up, and I’ll go do a couple of movies,” she said.
The Simon Says star also said that she has no problem working like this. Lively shared that both she and her husband have given up things they loved, just so they can spend some quality time with their children. She also claimed that the family is always the top priority for her and her husband.
