John Wick At His Very Best in First Chapter 4 Teaser
Lionsgate has finally released the first teaser trailer for the forthcoming fourth installment of the John Wick franchise led by Keanu Reeves.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled to hit the theaters on March 24, next year. The new teaser sees Reeves’ titular hitman as is summoned for yet another mission by Laurence Fishburne’s Bowery King. The short video shows that John still hasn’t lost a step, expertly taking on everything from nunchaku to handguns.

Helmed by Chapter 4’s Chad Stahelski with a screenplay written by Michael Finch and Shay Hatten. Apart from Fishburne and Reeves, the film also stars Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Hiroyuki Sanada, Bill Skarsgård, Shamier Anderson, Donnie Yen, Scott Adkins, and Clancy Brown. The first video was debuted by Lionsgate at the CinemaCon previously this year, though it reveals that the said footage did not release to the public during the same time.
Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 were to be filmed back-to-back
Chapter 5 was underway in August a couple of years back. Originally, the filmmakers planned for the next two chapters, Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 to be filmed back-to-back.

However, Lionsgate opted to film Chapter 5 and later, shoot Chapter 4 on its own. At the moment it is not clear if Chapter 5 will move forward, as Stahelski is quoted saying that Chapter 4 has “a bit of a conclusion to it.”
Will John Wick: Chapter 5 to be even filmed?
However, Lionsgate ultimately opted to place Chapter 5 on the back burner and film Chapter 4 on its own. At this stage, it is quite unclear if Chapter 5 will film as Stahelski is quoted saying that Chapter 4 has “a bit of a conclusion to it.”
A spinoff film titled Ballerina is still under work from director Len Wiseman, who is also co-writing the movie with Emerald Fennell. Additionally, Stahelski and Kolstad are developing a TV spinoff, The Continental, for Starz. That said, neither The Continental nor Ballerina has a release date right now.
