'Joker' misses the 'Best Picture Award': Fans devastated

Being nominated for 11 separate categories, Todd Phillips film, Joker ended up bagging two Oscar awards on Sunday night.

One award was for ‘Best Picture‘ for Joaquin Phoenix‘s role as Arthur Fleck. Joker also won the ‘Best Original Music Score’ for Hildur Guðnadóttir’s brilliant musical score.

Despite winning two Oscar awards, Joker fans are disappointed.

 

Why the disappointment?

As seen above, the tweets clearly prove the fans disappointment at Joker missing the award. Their anger is as clear as day.

Fan expressed their anguish on Twitter, over Joker losing the ‘Best Picture’ Award to Bong Joon-ho’s movie, Parasite. ‘Parasite’ is the first foreign language movie to win ‘Best Picture’ Award at Oscars.

The Korean mystery movie, ‘Parasite’, ended up winning twice the number of award’s as compared to Joker.

The awards include Best Picture, Best Director, Best International Film, and Best Original Screenplay.

Joker was nominated for the following awards: Best Director (Phillips), Best Adapated Screenplay, Best cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, Best Costume Design, Best Film Editing, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Sound Editing.

However, the movie did not win any award for either of these categories.
