The singer’s mother Lynne Spears was recently spotted by a photographer outside LAX and, in a video obtained by Page Six, she was asked about a message she wants to share with the singer, to which she replied, “I just want her to be happy.”

She even commented on an Instagram post that includes photographs from the ‘Toxic’ singer’s wedding ceremony at her California home. She wrote, “Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you!”

She supported her daughter without adding further to the controversy that has surrounded their family for quite some time now.

The singer though claimed in a since-deleted Instagram post, “Psss my dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago … but what people don’t know is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea.”

The “Toxic” singer accused her family of keeping her under the conservatorship to make money. “And considering my family has lived off my conservatorship for 13 years, I won’t be surprised if one of them has something to say going forward, and say, ‘We don’t think this should end, we have to help her.’ Especially if I get my fair turn exposing what they did to me.”

Britney was put under conservatorship after her infamous public breakdown in 2008 followed by hospitalization and rehab due to her behavior. At that time, her father requested the court for an emergency “temporary” conservatorship concerning that his daughter was unable to manage herself in the middle of her mental health struggles. It was made permanent after a while. While it ended in 2021, recently Jamie Spears asked a judge to have Britney Spears keep on paying legal fees.
