Keanu Reeves Is Called Regarding Almost Every Movie Marvel Makes

ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis got the opportunity to talk with Marvel Studios Boss Kevin Feige during the press for Spider-Man: Far From Home in London. There Feige revealed tones of new information regarding Avengers: Endgame getting a re release in theatres with new footage. Davis also took the time to ask the mega producer about the potential future involvement of some big names in the MCU, including Keanu Reeves. In response to this Feige laughed and answered that:

“We talk to him for almost every movie we make. We talk to Keanu Reeves about. I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”

Feige went on to compare the situation to Jake Gyllenhaal and said that they talked to the Spider-Man: Far From Home star “multiple times” till the perfect role (Mysterio) appeared. They’re hoping that a similar situation will happen with Reeves and that he will join the wide world of Marvel when the right role presents itself.

Feige On Donnie Yen And Mille Bobbie Brown

Along with Reeves, Davis also asked about Donnie Yen (Ip Man, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, Godzilla: King of the Monsters). In response Feige said that while both were “good actors” and admitted that they’d be fun to see in the MCU, he added that “nothing specific” was currently on the table for them.

Keanu Reeves’s Successful 2019

Reeves is surely enjoying a wildly successful 2019 and it’s no surprise that his name keeps on popping up. This year the actor has already starred in John Wick 3 and has made waves appearing as himself in Netflix’s hilarious rom-com Always Be My Maybe. The actor is also lending his voice to the upcoming Toy Story 4. Reeves is portraying Duke Caboom, a Canadian Evel Knievel-like stunt motorcyclist.

It’s now left to be seen what role brings Keanu Reeve to the MCU.

Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theatres July 2nd. Avengers: Endgame is getting a Re-Release next week and Captain Marvel is now available in DVD and Blu-ray.
