Fans of gaming thought it was over. After the reveal of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, that was surely it? But KFC have entered the game and raised the bar even higher. Yep, that’s right – Kentucky Fried Chicken.

KFC announced on social media their first ever games console – appropriately titled the KFConsole.  No news yet on whether it will be finger lickin’ good, but the console is set to have a built-in ‘chicken chamber’ for the little gaming snack.

The day after Son’ys PS5 reveal, seemed like a good time for KFC to reveal their console. And it seems the design harkens back to its origins. Shaped like an infamous bucket of chicken and even sporting sleek red accents, it still remains very much on-brand.

As epic as it would be, KFC have obviously revealed the console isn’t real. The Colonel’s marketing team have revealed, yet again, they simply have a great sense of humour. But a lot of love was put into the joke trailer and it shows KFC have a hub of gamers hidden within their offices.

In terms of the PlayStation 5 itself, we still don’t have a price. Or an exact release date. With its release set for Christmas time, it should only be a matter of time before we learn more.
