Only a few days ago, there were speculations of Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian possibly having a baby and now, out of the blue they’ve called it quits. The news has come as a shock to their fans who thought they were in for the long haul. During their nine months of dating, the couple indulged in tons of PDA, showing how close the two had gotten. The most obvious question arises: Why did the two break up? The reasons seem to be their age and personality differences and varying work schedules.

According to Page Six, a source close to the former couple revealed on 5^th August 2022 that the two had broken up. “Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends. They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.” Pete Davidson has been in Australia for over a month, where he is working on a movie and Kim Kardashian is based in Calabasas, California. The KUWTK star had even flown to Oz for a relaxing week-long vacation with Davidson but it seems like even that couldn’t help save the house on fire.

Further, the insider cited their age difference became an issue, “Pete is 28 and Kim is 41 — they are just in very different places at the moment. Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice. But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.” The source revealed that SKIMS and SKKN owner has her hands full with her businesses and the traveling and that she is “totally exhausted by this relationship and other things going on in her life.”

The insider also talked about Kim K’s infallible commitment and devotion to her kids – North,9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3. “When Kim is with someone else, Kanye can cause problems with the kids. He tries to divide and conquer. He can’t help it. Kim is a really dedicated mother, and her kids will always come first. She wants and needs harmony at home and in her life.” The divorce between Kim K and Kanye West is yet to be finalized, precisely due to the adoption issues. Kanye West has had several head-to-heads with his wife’s beau Pete Davidson as well, through a series of mildly threatening messages for the SNL star.
