After ruling the television for the whole eight seasons The Game of Thrones finally came to an end revealing many unexpected twists and turn. The finals season’s last episode created many controversies between fans and lovers due to the unforeseen events happening in the show. Events like the death of Daenerys Targaryen by her nephew and the so-called love of her life, Jon Snow who literally drove a knife through her heart, got a varied response from the critics and fans.

Narrated by showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss, the Game of Thrones documentary The Last Watch chronicled the production of the final season, showing Kit Harington learning of Daenerys’ death during a cast table read of the series finale.

Jon Snow’s action bought a sudden shock to Kit Harington after he discovered what he actually did and reacted in a Game Of Thrones BTS video “while an understanding Emilia Clarke nodded at her longtime co-star and looked surprised herself. For their part, the entire cast applauded the twist as well.”

Jon Snow  took Daenerys’ life because he feared ‘rise of another Mad Queen’. “Jon Snow killed Daenerys after witnessing her dragon Drogon raze the city of King’s Landing. Jon stabbed Daenerys in the heart while the two were alone in the remains of the Red Keep. As much as Daenerys’ death was a surprise to audiences around the world, no one appeared more emotional to the act than Jon Snow himself.”

I was very shocked and surprised at certain events unfolding,” he said of the moment during a Late Show appearance earlier this month, “and then I blubbed my eyes out. I cried. Harington told Entertainment Weekly that he purposely didn’t read the script ahead of time so that he could learn the story’s resolution alongside his castmates. Daenerys actor Emilia Clarke, who’d already read her scripts, purposefully positioned herself opposite Harington during the table read, “He was crying,” she told EW, “and then it was kind of great him not having read it.”
