OnlyFans launched in 2016 and became a medium for adult performers to directly connect with their fans. The site is full of NSFW photos and pictures that are hidden behind paywalls and fans of content creators can pay a monthly subscription fee to get access to premium content from their favorite accounts.
The site saw a rise in its users in 2020 when COVID-19 halted everything in the world. During that time, a lot of artists and other high-profile users used the site to promote their new projects.
OnlyFans can also be used as a source of income
It also offers artists a source of revenue. Influencer Bhad Bhabie claimed that she made $1 million in just six hours and posted the receipt on her Instagram page. Celebrities can charge subscription fees that typically go up to $49.99, for content that is only exclusive to the “fans”.
The site is becoming more and more mainstream every day because many celebrities are joining the site and convincing their fans to subscribe. A lot of male celebrities also use OnlyFans to post NSFW content for their fans and unfortunately, they get trolled online for it.

Aaron Carter joined OnlyFans in 2020
American rapper Aaron Carter announced in 2020 that he is finally joining OnlyFans, and has been very active on it since then. Users can subscribe to his page for $27 a month.
Aaron Carter’s fans also got scammed out of $50,000 after another Aaron Carter account appeared. Aaron Carter, however, says that the account wasn’t him because it wasn’t verified.
Tyga made an OnlyFans account in September 2020
In 2020, famous rapper Tyga announced his debut on the adult website, “It’s a new platform where I can talk directly to my fans and give them exclusive music, pics, videos and other BTS of my latest releases,” adding, “They can really see more inside my life than ever before, and an intimate look of what I do every day. It’s ‘bout to be lit!‘”

Users can subscribe to Chris Brown’s OnlyFans for $20 per month. It’s still currently unclear if the singer will be uploading NSFW content like some of his fellow celebrities who are on the platform.

When the American singer-songwriter started his OnlyFans account it didn’t get as much attention as he thought it would get but a few months later a leaked NSFW video allegedly featuring the R&B singer went viral. He never publicly confirmed if it was him. He took all of the attention as an opportunity to promote his OnlyFans page.
