Mark Ruffalo has a habit of giving away spoilers, but it seems like this time it might have worked to his detriment.

While responding to Ruffalo’s request to the Tonight Show to edit his spoiler for Avengers 4, directors Anthony and Joe Russo also took to Twitter and addressed Ruffalo in a hilarious yet harsh manner.

Before this post by Russos, actor Mark Ruffalo took to social media and asked Jimmy Fallon to edit out his “accidental” revelation.

Before the episode actually aired, Fallin posted an online video to hype the spoiler, promising a major revelation for fans of the MCU. However, when Ruffalo announced the title, his voice was beeped out and all of it ended as a troll.

MCU fans have been excited about news for Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel, and Ruffalo managed to create a few waves earlier when he revealed that the film’s ending was to be finalised during the reshoots.

“Well we’re doing reshoots starting in September,” Ruffalo said on the Marvelists Podcast. “And then we’ll go back into the international tour, we’ll go on tour. Then you guys will get the second installment. Which we don’t even know what it’s gonna be yet. We’re not just doing reshoots, we’re going to finish the movie, which we really didn’t get to finish totally when we left it last year.”

Ruffalo even stated that the Russos were very organic while filming and they were tweaking the development through stories.

“I don’t even know that they really know exactly,” Ruffalo said of the process. “Some of it is happening while we’re there. It’s pretty amazing. And we’ll shoot some stuff and a few days later come back and reshoot it cause we wanna take it in another direction. It’s a very living organism, even as we approach it being a locked picture, we’re still working on it.”

Avengers 4 hits the theaters on May 3, 2019.
