After the rise of the Fantastic Four, team comics became popular and became big business in the 1960s. The stories introduced during this decade would endure the test of time.

In that decade, the Avengers comics got famous at the same rate as that of X-Men. Avengers was a team that brought together the most powerful superheroes of Marvel with different powers.

Unlike the other team comics, the Avengers comic gained its popularity more rapidly. The first three issues consisted of many superheroes except Steve Rogers. Then came the golden age star Captain America from issue four. Then after 15 issues, he became the Avengers team leader in issue 16, and with that a new rise of Avengers took place.

In the 1960s, different stories and characters were introduced that would endure the test of time. Then they became not only the base of Avengers but the base of Marvel Universe. Comic covers were the most loved part of the fans. Most covers were created by the iconic artist Jack Kirby, who holds a special place in their fans’ hearts.
