Celestials Abandoned The Eternals

In Marvel Comics’ new release, Eternals: Celestia, Ajak calls the Avengers to live inside a Celestial’s corpse. The current headquarters of the Avengers, Avengers Mountain, is based within the deceased body of the first Celestial who appeared on Earth. Ajak, being the speaker of the Eternals, is naturally quite angered by their actions even though the Progenitor’s body was gifted to them.

Written by Kieron Gillen and Kei Zama, the character, Ajak, is seen mostly struggling in Eternals: Celestia #1. While her role is to translate the conversation of the Celestials to the team, her job has now become more than just that as the Celestials have nothing to say. The final message that the Celestials echoed was that they don’t need the Eternals anymore. That is when Ajak decided to make a pilgrimage to the North Pole where the Progenitor’s body has been kept.

The Ramifications Of Living Inside A God

With that being said, Salma Hayek didn’t like what she discovered in the Artic. Discovering the Avengers living inside a dead body of a Celestial, Ajak claims their action as a desecration of the gods. While Ghost Rider attempts to explain to Ajak that the Avengers were permitted by the god, the attempt only makes Ajak angrier. Unable to digest the fact that the Celestials are now talking to Robbie Reyes, Ajak proceeds to evolve as a major threat to the Avengers.

Well, even if the Avengers were gifted the corpse by the Celestials, they should not have started residing inside it at the North Pole. Whether or not fans see it as a mistake, the ramifications could have been fairly significant. However, the Eternals’ presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is only going to get more intriguing with the upcoming Eternals film. With that said, it is expected that the Avengers might manage to get a smooth way out with Ajak before she gets angrier.
