The newest report from Marvel states that Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is going to be the new face of the MCU after Avengers 4.

This was revealed during an interview with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige regarding Avengers 4 and the footage of Captain Marvel. The video showed the next additions to the universe with a special mention to Captain Marvel taking over as the new “face and leader” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This makes sense with MCU classics like Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth inching towards the end of their Marvel contracts and it’s speculated that the next phase will be more about the newer heroes like Black Panther, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Ant Man and Captain Marvel.

However to make this come true, someone has to step into the shoes of Robert Downey Jr, who initially helped in launching the MCU with Iron Man in 2008.

Captain Marvel is directed by Anna Biden and Ryan Fleck and stars Carol Denvers as Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan The Accuser and Djimon Honsou as Korath the Pursuer.

The film releases on March 8, 2019.
