It seems like Marvel Studios is now trying to fill in the void left by the delay of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The studio is now planning to introduce new properties in the business as many veteran characters will potentially leave the MCU post-Avengers 4 next year. This includes the likes of Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. whose contracts will be ending after Avengers 4.

Avengers 4 will also mark an end to the Phase 3 of the MCU as the next phase will see Carol Danvers taking over Evans’ mantle as the new Captain of Avengers. However, according to a new report by ‘Ain’t It Cool’ News, Marvel is also planning a Captain Britain and Black Knight film.

Marvel seems to be expanding their market beyond the US-dominated superheroes. Black Widow is rumoured to be filmed in Russia and Europe, thanks to Romanoff’s heritage and now we have news that a new British hero might be joining the franchise.

The studio is reportedly eyeing Guy Ritchie to direct the film, who is currently filming 2019’s Aladdin. The film is speculated to be a spy-thriller film added with some magical elements, which means that we might also get to see Union Jack appearing in the movie.

For those who don’t know, Captain Britain is Brian Braddock who was chosen by Merlyn to become Captain Britain. Talking about Black Knight, his real name is Dan Whiteman who wields the cursed Ebony blade. It’ll be interesting to see these two characters debuting in the forever-expanding MCU.

Would you like to watch the Black Knight and Captain Britain?
