Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is the masterpiece that fans were waiting for. It is perhaps a must-play, meeting the expectations a long time after Batman: Arkham Asylum.
The Newest Addition – Guardians
It has been years that a good comic-book game has shown up. The genre achieved a threshold with hits like X-Men Legends and Batman: Arkham Asylum but failed to last for long. With that said, recently launched games such as Marvel’s Avengers and Marvel’s Spider-Man achieved a remarkable position in the chart, and with games such as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights, the chart looks even better.
The newest addition on the list is Eidos-Montreal’s latest release, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The game was announced earlier this summer with a highly intimidating release date that shook all the gamers and comic fans. Well, there are some parts where the Guardians should really work. But undoubtedly, Eidos-Montreal has crafted an intriguing masterpiece. The game is a rock and roll trip that leaves gamers itching throughout its gameplay experience.
The 20-Hour Gameplay
Guardians of the Galaxy begin with the team trying to figure out a way to earn fast money. Their plan includes hunting a beast so that they could sell it to Lady Hellbender. But apparently, the plan backfires on the team. The Nova Corps catches the Guardians and slaps them with a fine. Now that the team has to work under a particular time before their ship shutdowns, they plan three ways to make enough money to pay the Nova Corps.
The perfect setup of the game makes Guardians of the Galaxy even more interesting for the players. With that being said, when the Universal Church of Truth starts acquiring the entire galaxy, the Guardians are left with having no other choice but to step up and save it. Because that is how they will get paid, after all. What makes the game turn more intriguing is the surprises and twist it brings on screen. The gameplay, however, is of 20 hours, but the story never rests on the edges. Every single chapter is filled with adventure and twists that keep the gamers engrossed right till the end credits.
Nonetheless, Guardians of the Galaxy is so far the best game of the year 2021. While it heads towards the iterations of the real characters from the MCU, the game succeeds to make the gamers fall in love with the new versions and stories of the characters. Much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Guardians, all the dots finally fall rightly into the places and create something unforgettable and remarkable for the Guardians fans.
Published by Square Enix and developed by Eidos-Montreal, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was released on the 26th of October, 2021. It is available to play in PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox series X and S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
