The last episode of Marvel’s What If…?, “What If… The Watcher Broke His Oath?” featured the Guardians of the Multiverse that included various superheroes from different Marvel multiverse. The Watcher recruited them to defeat Ultron by destroying all of reality. Here is a quick team introduction –

Captain Carter

As she is propelled to 66 years into the future, a portal to the new Captain America: The Winter Soldier could be seen where Carter is leading the assault on Batroc’s ship. That is when the Watcher recruits her.

A reality was discovered where it was T’Challa who got kidnapped instead of Peter Quill. The event soon turns the Ravagers into a good force. The episode, “What If… T’Challa Became A Star-Lord?” ends with Peter Quill working in a Dairy Queen and T’Challa coming to rescue him to stop Ego for good. That is when the Watcher summons him away to fight against Ultron.

This character or say version of Thor sails in a completely different reality in which Loki is not brother to him. This version of Thor loves to party and that is why undergoes many collateral damages. To utilize the potential, the Watcher includes him in the team.

Apocalypse Black Widow

Black Widow, along with the mind of Arnim Zola, is the only survivor of her reality. In that particular reality, Ultron captured Vision’s body, defeated team Avengers, acquired all the six Infinity Stones, and then targeted the Multiverse. While Black Widow was not included initially in the list, the Watcher included her just because her reality has gone through the most damages that Ultron has done.

Gamora Triumphant

This version of Gamora destroys Thanos

This version of Gamora comes from a different reality where she destroys Thanos to help Iron Man. As she was the one who stopped Thanos in her reality, the Watcher selects her. Gamora also possesses the Infinity Crusher that can destroy the Infinity Stones.
