So far, we have seen numerous set-reveals from Marvel’s upcoming Avengers 4 but this new photo has just confirmed a major theory surfacing around for the past one month or so.

It’s obvious that both War Machine and Iron Man will be donning new armours in Avengers 4. We’ve already seen a new War Machine armour through leaked artwork but we haven’t set our eyes upon the new Iron Man suit yet. We all know that it would be an upgraded version of the nanotech armour seen in Infinity War, and it will have a classic Iron Man colour scheme with more gold around the arms and legs.

Fans are anticipating the first trailer for the film, as it would give us more insights upon the new suits of both the heroes. Tony Stark upgrades his suit in every film, so it’s safe to say that Avengers 4 will be no different and fans will be treated with massive upgrades. Maybe War Machine gets a nanotech suit too. Who knows?!

The Russo Bros tweeted the infamous “look hard” photo a month back from now. Many fans wondered if it hid the film’s official title, but instead, it was about the same tech which was present at the back of the image and in Infinity War too. This led many fans to believe that it was the famous “Proton Cannon” used by War Machine in Capcom vs Marvel games.

It seems like fans were right in guessing it, as a new set photo confirms that it is, in fact, the Proton Cannon and not some time-travelling device, as believed by many fans. Here, have a look:

Now it will be interesting to see who among the two uses this Cannon. The look would certainly go better with War Machine’s suit and obviously, the poor guy deserves something cool too. But Tony also has a knack to add everything within his armour while poor Rhodes only gets the guns and bullets.

So, if Rhodey gets a Proton Cannon, it’s safe to say that he will have a Nanotech suit too, as it’s the only way he can fit the entire Cannon within his suit. Fans are excited to hear the title for the upcoming Avengers film. With October coming to an end, many fans are also expecting the first teaser for the film anytime soon. Here’s what Avengers 4 co-writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely said about the film:

“Christopher Markus – [Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does. It is a different movie than you think it is…Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.”

Stephen McFeely – Put it this way. I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same filmmaking team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re clearly connected, but they are definitely two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previous.”
