“It’s only in the last couple years that I’ve become so in awe of directors and the moviemaking aspect. As an actor, I used to only see myself and the scenes and my contribution, but then I realized, ‘Wait a minute, you’re part of this big thing,’” Stan said at MCM London.

“And there’s always a sense of vision and just the way that you can tell stories visually, with sound, the whole editing [aspect], the way you can influence [a film] — it just fascinates me. Yeah, it would be nice to kind of find something that could make sense at some point, but I’m still very far, far off from that.”

When asked if he could make his directorial debut on Disney+, where he and Anthony Mackie’s Falcon will star in a series titled Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Sebastian Stan replied, “They’ll never, they’ll never let me. I don’t know about that. That’s a high bar.”

The series of six episodes already has an amazing director, as revealed by Stan. Kari Skogland was named as the director of the series. “I’m really, really excited,” Stan said.

Skogland has previously worked on projects like Broadwalk Empire, The Walking Dead and The Punisher. She was nominated for an Emmy for The Handmaids’ Tale. She also served as a director for The Rook and NOS4A2.

Earlier, Chris Evans was rumoured to direct the series but the studio has decided to keep Evans on reservation post Endgame.

Disney+ will release on November 12 and will host the series alongside projects like WandaVision, starting Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen. A Loki series is also underway starring Tom Hiddleston.
