Marvel Cinematic Universe is all set to introduce Marvel’s Eternals on the big screen.
While the world’s oldest heroes are here to make people aware about their existence in Phase 4 , the MCU is facing some bigger problems aka how to retire the remaining Avengers.
Avengers: Endgame towards the end eliminated the founding heroes such Iron Man, Captain America and Black Widow.
But that still leaves Hulk, Thor and Hawkeye in the universe.

But looks like Marvel Studio is working smarter; by keeping some of these original heroes, by slowly transitioning from the Infinity Saga to new storytelling territory in Phase 4. This was the safest way to make sure that MCU continues to be smooth and successful without getting stagnant.

And it makes sense considering that seeing some of the founding Avengers still involved in the franchise will help fans to get used to this difficult but much needed change.

It surely is shocking to lose the most favourite characters like Iron Man and Captain America but to think of it, it would have been more difficult transition if all the six Avengers were non- existent in MCU’s future.

Of course, a time will come when Hulk, Thor and Hawkeye will eventually have to leave the MCU making way for the younger generations and new heroes.
Marvel Studios may already be setting up their imminent departure with the introduction of their respective franchise replacements.

Eternals Powers

So what makes it difficult? Well, to begin with; there is no major event like Endgame coming soon, that in turn makes it harder to find a justified way to see them off.
And it will be still quite tricky to write out almost- immortal heroes like Thor and Hulk.

And if that wasn’t enough,  Marvel Studios are just making things harder for themselves as they introduce the Eternals to the MCU.
Eternals are created by the Celestials, making them the powerful beings who are essentially immortals meaning that they had to been in hiding in the universe of franchise for centuries now.
That gives us an enough idea on how HUGE the threat is that they had to come out from their hiding.

Not much is known about these characters who are going to make debut in the MCU.
The Celestials have been referenced in the past films but no indication was given throughout the Infinity Sage.

They been set to be extremely powerful characters but it would make it difficult to find a way to justify their deaths when their time in the MCU comes to an end, like Iron Man and Captain America in Endgame.
We know that many characters are at the tail end of their life spans since they have alive for centuries; for example Odin in Thor: Ragnarok.

Marvel Studios will have to plan a great exit plan for these characters considering their origins.
