Some movies often end with a cliffhanger and no one likes that. But some movies have such awesome endings that it leaves you with a great sense of satisfaction. Every director tries their best to make such awesome endings that they will be remembered for years to come.

Whether these awesome endings leave you sad or happy, has an amazing dialogue, or just have an open ending, they can change the way how you feel about the movie.

Here are some movies that have awesome endings and will never be forgotten! Spoiler Alert in case you haven’t watched these films!

1. The Sixth Sense (1999)

M. Night Shyamalan’s The Sixth Sense has hands down one of the most awesome endings ever. He became the king of surprise endings post this film. It was revealed that Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis) was one of the dead people Cloe (Harley Joel Osment) saw. It was spooky and gave us goosebumps.

Through a series of flashbacks, it is revealed at the end that Malcolm never survived the opening scene of the movie when the intruder entered his house.

2. Inception (2010)

This movie’s awesome ending has been confusing to many. After Leonardo DiCaprio’s Cobb’s finishes his job and gets back home to see his kids. He spins his small top since the totem will convince him that he is now in reality.

However, before he can see the top stop spinning, he sees his kids and runs to hug them. The camera again turns back to the top for the audience to see if it stops spinning. But it’s still spinning!!! Or is it about to stop? No one will ever know since the credits roll after that shot!

It’s an open ending and they leave us to decide.

3. Pyscho (1960)

Post the big reveal that Normal Bates played by Anthony Perkins was dressed as his mother and committed all the murders at the Bates Motel. Psycho is hands down one of the best movies of Hitchcock. The film shows Bates in a holding cell as the voice of his mother protesting the murders is heard.

If you observe keenly, you can spot a skeleton head of Norman’s mother as the picture dissolves and we see Marion’s car being pulled next to the Bates Motel. Spooky!

4. The Godfather (1972)

After Michael Corleone kills the rival mafia families, he is confronted by his wife Kay about the death of his brother-in-law Carlo. And we all know that Carlo was disloyal to him. Michael tells Kay that he doesn’t talk about his business but finally gives in and says he had nothing to do with his death.

Seeing from Kay’s point of view, Michael is greeted as “Don Corleone” by the men in his family. As the door closes, Kay realizes he is no longer the same man she fell in love with.

5. Seven (1995)

This David Fincher movie had a shocking twist to the film. Just when we thought that the police couldn’t get any more finance. They finally capture John Doe and Mills and Somerset are led by him to an open field where the box is delivered.

Now what was shocking was the fact that inside the box was the head of Mills’ wife! And that leads to final sin aka wrath.
