There were many puzzling things about Spider-Man: Far From Home. The most bewildering one was the villain of the story. Mysterio’s appearance in the movie is a realistic take on the character. However, things could have been really different had another proposed design been selected.

Someone on Imgur took a sneak peek at the artbook for Spider-Man: Far From Home. The poster highlighted how Mysterio’s look could have been entirely different in the movie. The look resembles the Hulkbuster armor that Tony against earlier threats. Bruce Banner appeared in that armor in the Battle of Wakanda as well. The color scheme was almost the same as the selected version. What attracted the attention of the fans most was the head. It was a bit of a departure from the glass fishbowl helmet that is the signature style of Mysterio. The head part of the armor was changed to less obvious glass. This made it Mysterio-style while also taking some liberty.

The actor Jake Gyllenhaal played Quentin Beck, a.k.a. Mysterio to perfection by taking well-calculated risks with his role. He explored changes in the character after the finished script. The actor liked the idea that he was toying with everyone’s love and need for superheroes. Gyllenhaal played the front half of his character in a very realistic manner. Most importantly, he knew as an actor what would make the character click, and did everything to make sure of that. Gyllenhaal was the one who chose to have a beard for his look. The character was to look like an appealing father figure like Tony Stark, so Gyllenhaal gave his inputs to ensure that it came out looking perfectly like that.
