New Hawkeye Clip Shows Clint Poke Fun At Kate In Hilarious Meeting With Her Mom

Marvel Studios and Disney+ have now released a new Hawkeye clip from the upcoming series. The footage shows Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop visiting Kate’s family, which turns out to be more awkward than one may expect it to be, keeping in mind, a young woman has just brought a middle-aged celebrity home. One might also note that both, Kate and Barton are hiding something from Kate’s mother. Clint tries to counter everything Kate tries to say, even going out of his way while doing so. Clint also wishes to make it clear – they aren’t partners or friends or even allies, really.

The Hawkeye series will be loosely based on the comic series by Artist David Aja and Matt Fraction. Until now, fans are really excited about Hawkeye as many Netflix/Marvel fans are happy about the return of “street-level” heroics to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. By the look of the videos released, it seems like Hawkeye will have a lot of comedy (as Marvel did with the Matt Fraction run) from the clashes between Barton and Kate.

You can watch the clip below:

“I can’t wait for people just to see how we are interpreting this character through the comics and in her own sort of ways. She’s such a badass, there’s no denying that,” Steinfeld said of Kate Bishop during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. “She’s so smart and witty and quick and her physical ability to do so many things is through the roof. It’s really tested me and it’s kept me going through quarantine, I will say, it’s given me a reason to stay with it. But I’m very excited as I continue developing her to see sort of how we come up with it all.”
