Sylvester Stallone has recently teased that a new Rambo movie might be on its way soon. Rambo is considered as the actor’s most iconic franchise but we haven’t seen a new Rambo film since 2008.

After almost ten years of the last film’s release, Stallone has one again teased the long rumoured Rambo 5, sharing an image of John Rambo on Instagram with the caption, “Something wicked is coming this way…”

Stallone had once revealed that chances of Rambo 5 are highly unlikely but with this post, it seems like the tables have turned and hopefully we will get to see Stallone in his Rambo avatar again.

The last Rambo film came in 2008, produced on a budget of $50 million. The film grossed $113 million worldwide. Keeping this in mind, if the fifth installment is produced on a similar budget, it can still do pretty well at the box office.

Here’s the final synopsis of Rambo 5:

“When the daughter of one of his friends is kidnapped, Rambo, who has been working on a ranch, crosses the U.S.-Mexican border and quickly finds himself up against the full might of one of Mexico’s most violent criminals” is how the film was described earlier this year by Deadline. That outlet also indicated that Sylvester Stallone, whose role in First Blood and its multiple sequels solidified Stallone as one of the most memorable action stars of all time, was on board to develop a script for the film as well as star.”

Rambo 5 doesn’t have a release date yet.
