Actor Temuera Morrison might have returned to the galaxy far away and made his debut as Boba Fett in the second season premiere of The Mandalorian, but now Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett has already featured many flashbacks to younger versions of Boba Fett. This also included a flashback to Boba seeing the death of his father Jango Fett during Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, with a younger Boba Fett been played by Daniel Logan in that movie. To give new perspectives of that very moment, body double Finnegan Garay was given the task to recreate the sequence, with the actor taking to Instagram to show off a BTS moment of himself alongside Morrison. New episodes of Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett continue to debut on Disney+ every Wednesday.

“It was a [huge moment] in my life to be able to be a part of the [Star Wars] franchise, even in the smallest way… and then to be a part of the [Boba Fett] story… [mindblowing],” Gray shared on Instagram. “Like most intelligent kids, I have been the biggest [Star Wars fan] my whole life‼️ Thank you to [Temuera Morrison] for being so cool and kind AND [Ming-Na Wen] for showing me the world of Boba Fett. The best [acting] gig I have ever done.”

The involvement of Garay in Boba Fett until now has been quite minimal, although the series has embraced the nature of flashbacks to help inform the fans of the journey that Fett took to get to this very point where we witness him in The Book of Boba Fett. Most of these flashbacks have gone on to explore the points between his seeming death in Return of the Jedi and also, the events of the Book of Boba Fett. However, some viewers can’t help but wonder if we would be seeing more memories of Boba’s life that take place before we met him in The Empire Strikes Back.

This past month, some fans began with the speculations that we could see Logan himself return to the role for the same flashback scenes – based on an exchange that took place on Instagram. One fan even mentioned on Logan’s Instagram handle that he wished he could see the actor in the series, Logan replied, “Give it a chance, you never know who will show up.” Logan then quickly deleted the exchange but it’s still quite unclear if Logan had deleted the response to prevent any further speculation about a return just based on a silly comment or if there could be more to the claim and the actor realized that he might have just spoiled a return.
