Prince William Reportedly Refused To Entertain ‘Foursome’ Idea With Meghan Markle as She Was “an American actress”
Trouble in the royal family continues as the new memoir of Prince Harry reveals some more details about them. Since the release of their docuseries, the prince and Meghan Markle have been open about the things they faced during their time in the royal family. The Duke has even shared incidents from his childhood and Princess Diana’s death in the Netflix documentary.
Now the prince’s new memoir is causing trouble to the royal family. In his book Spare the Duke revealed grave details of his life, attacking the royal family directly. The royal brothers have had issues between them for a long time, and now the new revelation through the book has turned the events.
Prince Harry reveals Prince William warned him about Meghan Markle
The new memoir, set to release on 10 January, has been causing trouble in the royal family. Prince Harry has put minute details of his life in Spare. He revealed in the book that Prince William discouraged him from proposing to Markle, saying their relationship was moving too fast.
The BetterUp CIO, through his memoir, said the Prince of Wales turned down the idea of forming a foursome with him and Meghan Markle alongside his wife, Kate Middleton. This decision of the prince came after knowing the now Duchess of Sussex was an American actress.
The Duke said,
“One day, sitting together in his garden, he’d predicted a host of difficulties I could expect if I hooked up with an American actress a phrase he always managed to make sound like a convicted felon.”
The father of two also confessed to his brother being severe with the actress and believed that their late mother helped him find the Suits actress. At the same time, the Prince of Wales took a step back and confronted his younger brother for taking things too far.
The tension between the two brothers rose during Prince Harry’s wedding preparation
Despite his brother’s warning, the Duke went ahead and got engaged to Markle in 2017, after being in a relationship for a year. The wedding preparation widened the chasm between the brothers. While deciding the venue for their big day, Prince William denied the idea of the now Duke and Duchess of Sussex getting married in Westminster Abbey, where he and Middleton had tied the knot seven years prior. He also shot down St. Pauls, where their parents, King Charles and Princess Diana wed in 1981.
The 40-year royal even ended the traditional family dinner with his brother and the actress. The 38-year-old prince said he didn’t see how he could resolve his differences with the royal family. He has even several times spoken openly about his tense bond with his family. The prince revealed in his documentary that he wishes to make amends with his almost estranged family.
