Rambo is coming back soon and this time, with a new director. This report comes via Geeks Worldwide revealing that director Adrian Grunberg has now taken over the film behind the camera. The film will see the return of Sylvester Stallone as his classic character, Rambo.

The film’s characters and plot details surfaced over the Internet revealing that it will show a retired Rambo, who’s drawn back into business by a journalist to save a group of girls from a dangerous sex trafficking ring. You can check out the full synopsis below.

“Rambo teams up with a journalist to track down and rescue a group of local girls that have been kidnapped by a Mexican sex trafficking ring, after trying to settle down to a quiet, peaceful life stateside at the family ranch in Arizona after spending decades abroad.”

Grunberg has earlier directed Get The Gringo and has even worked as an assistant director on Netflix’s Narcos, Jack Reacher and Man of Fire. The film is speculated to begin its filming on September 1 in Spain and Canary Islands.

The last Rambo film came out in 2008 and was made on a budget of $50 million. The film managed to earn $113 million internationally. If Rambo 5 is also produced on a similar budget, it could do pretty well at the box office.

Rambo 5 doesn’t have any release date yet.
