‘Rob really does consider Kristen a friend’: Kristen Stewart Couldn’t Bring Herself To Talk To Twilight Co-Star Robert Pattinson After Her Brutal Cheating Scandal
The Twilight Saga is one of the most famous movie series of all time. The series made Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart household names as millions of fans shipped them together. The fans got what they wanted in 2009 as it was confirmed that the two are dating. They kept their relationship out of the public’s eye.
However, things soon took a turn as Kristen Stewart reportedly cheated on Robert Pattinson when she was spotted kissing director Rupert Sanders in 2012. They ultimately broke up in 2013 and Stewart publicly apologized to the actor. They are still reportedly in touch and are on good terms.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart dated in the late 2000s and early 2010s
During the late 2000s, the first Twilight was dropped and people loved the chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. They went on to star in four more Twilight movies. However, during that period, a lot happened as Pattinson and Stewart got together but very soon, fell apart.
The two reportedly started dating in 2009 but kept their relationship lowkey. However, the problems came in 2012 when photos of Kristen Stewart kissing Rupert Sanders were published. Sanders was the director of her movie, Snow White and the Huntsman.

Their relationship came to an end in 2013
After the photos went viral, Stewart publicly apologized to Pattinson and they continued dating. However, one year later, it was revealed that they ended their relationship for good. In 2021, Stewart called their relationship “young and stupid” in an interview with The New Yorker,
“[We both had an] intellectual approach that was combined with ‘I don’t give a f**k about this, but I’m going to make this sing,’ I was, like, ‘Ugh, same,’ and, whatever, we were young and stupid and, not to say that we made it so much better, but that’s what it needed, and that’s what anybody playing those parts needed to feel.”
The actress has always been apologetic and has always regretted mistreating Pattinson. She also once explained that she was going through a “chaotic period” when the two were together.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are still in touch
Everyone wonders where the two are now, roughly 10 years after their split. An insider once told Hollywood Life that they don’t really meet a lot but they are on good terms,
“Yes, Rob really does consider Kristen a friend even though they don’t see each other much at all, the last time being at a mutual friend’s home for a party a while ago.”
The source further added that they text each other occasionally and still keep their conversations out of the public’s eye.
