It’s tough being an actor. After all it’s not a fixed job in any way. Even if you make it big and become the nation’s heartthrob, there still a chance that you will end up jobless some time in your career. Both fame and jobs are very fickle in the world of showbiz. Even “Batman” Robert Pattinson had to go through this period.

But we must say, it seems like through all the hardships, he will turn out to be the best onscreen Batman and here’s why:

Robert Pattinson Was Jobless Before Tenet And The Batman

Before becoming The Dark Knight in Matt Reeves’s The Batman, Robert Pattinson played Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga. To say that the franchise was a hit, would be downplaying the kind of effect it had on people at that time. Twilight was nothing short of a phenomenon which catapulted Robert Pattinson into stardom. He had the fangirls, the money and the game. Yet sometime ago he was jobless.

This is not to say that Robert Pattinson has not worked since Twilight ended. It’s just that he has worked on indie movies instead of blockbusters since then. Some of the notable ones have been The Lighthouse, Cosmopolis, The Rover and Damsel. But in Hollywood no one can be sure if there’ll be enough job offers to keep them busy. Pattinson recently claimed that he was essentially unemployed before Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and Matt Reeves’s The Batman came along. He said:

“I literally started this year with no job. I remember my agent saying, ‘You’re not really on anybody’s list. The movies are well reviewed, but they aren’t big hits.’ And then a week later I got another call out of the blue: ‘Do you want to be in a Chris Nolan movie?’ I was like: ‘Wait- how did that happen?'”

Robert Pattinson will certainly not be facing any lack in job offers after The Batman which is almost guaranteed to be a mega hit at the box office. But before The Batman can be a hit, Pattinson and the cast and crew will have to work hard to make a fantastic movie. One of the important things in a Batman movie is the Dark Knight’s physique. But it looks like Pattinson is having trouble bulking up. Let’s hope he can do it and the cast and crew can deliver an extraordinary movie about the greatest detective in the world.
