Marvel Studios are currently trolling fans by holding back the details for Avengers 4. Even the recently held New York Comic Con saw the faux beef between Mark Ruffalo and Russo Brothers, after the former “spoiled” the Avengers 4 title on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. With many rumours and theories taking rounds, one of the biggest topics of discussion is the time when Avengers 4 will take place.

A new report states that a lot of time will have passed between Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel.

While there seems to some discrepancy between Daniel’s understanding of Avengers 4, the general rumour states a five-year jump between the two films. Not only will this time gap allow Marvel to settle a different version of MCU than we have known or seen, but will also open the door for the heroes to somehow “reverse” or “negate” the snap. After all, reversing the effects of Thanos’ deadly snap is going to be the main thrust of the story.

The five-year time jump also explains why Avengers look so different than usual in some leaked concept art, especially Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, who could be seen wearing a space suit type costume. Between these years, Tony may have a baby, Banner may have made a truce with Hulk, Captain Marvel may have returned home while Hawkeyes goes down a darker path. However, the film may also include a lot of time travel, as speculated earlier.

All questions will be answered when Avengers 4 hits the theatres on May 3, 2019.
