And Just Like That begins a new chapter for Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte “as they traverse the path from the complex reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more problematic reality of life and friendship in their 50s,” according to the description. Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in the first series, will not be reprising her role. Sara Ramrez, from Grey’s Anatomy, also appears in the teaser.

“I grew up with these characters, and I can’t wait to see how their story has evolved in this new chapter, with the honesty, poignancy, humor, and the beloved city that has always defined them,” stated Sarah Aubrey, head of original programming at HBO Max, when the revival was initially announced.

The reboot was announced in January of this year by executive producer Michael Patrick King, who also executive produced the original series and directed the SatC franchise’s two feature films. It will consist of ten episodes in total. Darren Star, the creator of the series, has stated that he will not be engaged in the project.

From 1998 through 2008, HBO aired Sex and the City. And Just Like That will air on HBO Max on December 9th.
