In the era of dating apps and much active social life, we often cross paths with people we might not like. However, ghosting then comes to aid, for real – a life savor. Not that it is a great trait but sometimes, in fact, most of the time it becomes hell important. Though we can not really imagine our favorite stars getting ghosted. It’s like saying no to a chocolate pudding on your cheat day. And Christian Bale on the victim side is truly unpredictable and shocking.

We know it is unbelievable, but sad enough that it is true. The Batman actor Christian Bale went on a movie date with actress Drew Barrymore, but it appears that it was a complete failure since the actress never called him after their date. And well, as depressing as it might be, their story ended.

Drew Barrymore dated Batman Begins star Christian Bale while they were both teenagers, according to the story, but the pair actually went out once — and only once — as Barrymore completely ghosted Bale following their brief encounter. Bale told GQ Australia in 2012 that after dating Barrymore for a short time, she ended their teenage relationship and never called him back.

“We went to see some bloody awful horror film, and that was the end of it,” the Dark Knight Rises actor, 48, admits. “She never called again.”

While we’re perplexed as to why Barrymore would turn on the Dark Knight himself, it turns out she has an explanation. During an appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live in 2015, Barrymore admitted that she had no idea why she didn’t call Bale after their first date. She said she wasn’t that boy-crazy back then and had much bigger problems to deal with.

“I don’t know. He was so nice. I had a lot of fish to fry, like I had big problems in my world for many years, like in good ways — things you gotta overcome . . . boys were like very secondary.”
