The reality star at the Sotheby’s auction got her hands on Princess Diana’s amethyst cross necklace. It cost her over $197,453, and it is an iconic piece. The necklace was worn only once by the late Princess of Wales, and then it never appeared in public, until now.

Kim Kardashian has done this in the past. She likes to collect historic fashion pieces. The news didn’t go well with fans, who took the opportunity to slam the 42-year star.

Def Noodles tweeted, “She’s really trying to traumatize the ghosts of iconic women.”

Another wrote, “Thinking about Kim K’s dedication to latching onto the already existing fashion legacies of dead people.”

Some royal fans also bashed Kim K.

A person said, “Diana has been exploited ENOUGH and for Kimberly to go out of her way to purchase something that should be in a museum is quite sickening and not in a good way.”

While another argued, “This necklace should’ve gone to one of Diana’s granddaughters.”

The fans are all worried about the historic piece knowing the American socialite’s history of damaging things. They still haven’t forgiven her for destroying Marilyn Monroe’s dress that she borrowed for Met Gala 2022. A few jokes are already flooding around the social media platform.

A person tweeted, “Kim Kardashian has purchased the robe Jesus died in.”

“Kim Kardashian has purchased the shirt president JFK was assassinated in,” another cracked.

The fans even put a guess on which historic item the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star might get her hands on next.

The mother of four has got herself a pendant once worn by the royal princess. The square-cut amethyst cross pendant sparkles with brilliant clusters of diamonds encircling it. The Attallah Cross was created by British luxury jeweler Garrard. Princess Diana wore it once at a Birthright charity dinner in London in October 1987. She paired it with a velvet Catherine Walker dress.

The piece was the main attraction at the auction, and it is now in the possession the SKKN founder. This is the first time Kardashian has ever bid on a piece of jewelry associated with the British royal family.
