Spider-Man Fans Set Record for Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Spider-Man
Comic book fans love dressing up as their favourite superheroes and regular convention goers have often admitted that most Marvel fans love dressing up as Spider-Man! Remember the “Band of the Spideys” video which featured dozens of Spider-Man cosplays to a chiptune version of ‘Take on me’ by A-ha.

However, Marvel and Sony decided to take things one step ahead this year at the Stockholm Comic-Con by attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the “Largest gathering of people dressed up as Spider-Man”. This was announced by Marvel Editor-In-Chief, C.B. Cebulski. Their bid was ultimately successful as the gathering managed to amass a total of 547 Spideys under one roof.
Even actress Carolina Ravassa was in attendance for the event and she shared this video of the fans who crazily turned up in a Spider-Man costume, celebrating the achievement.

This world record was set and attempted by Sony and Marvel to promote the recently released PS4, which has already received a positive response from both fans and critics. The suit worn by fans at the gathering was also based on the suit featured in the already popular PlayStation game.
