Avengers: Infinity War ended with Thanos getting what he wanted and that spelled doom for the universe. Thanos fulfilled his vow of wiping out half of the universal life after he completed his Infinity Gauntlet. Among the dead are various popular heroes such as Spider-Man and Black Panther. In fact, barring Rocket, all other Guardians of the Galaxy are also turned to ashes, and now James Gunn has revealed what were the last words that Groot said to Rocket before perishing.A fan wanted to know what was Groot’s last dialogue in Avengers: Infinity War, Gunn said he spoke to Rocket before getting turned into ash: “Dad.”
Fans might recall that Groot died on the Wakandan field where Earth tried standing up to Thanos. Rocket and Groot had joined the battle along with Thor equipped with his new weapon Stormbreaker. However, none of them really matched Thanos when he emerged with the Time Stone. Thanos eventually got hold of the Mind Stone, completing the Infinity Gauntlet, and Groot happened to be one of the billions he killed.
