Lee has had few health issues in the recent years and was hospitalised earlier this year. Things went worse for the legendary writer ever since he lost his wife, Joan, last year. Lee is survived by his daughter J.C. and brother Larry Lieber.

Lee’s contributions to the comic industry cannot be overstated. He created some legendary characters alongside Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Bill Everett. All Marvel fans will certainly miss spotting the legend in cameos in all the MCU films.
