The sale of tickets for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in the first hour surpassed that of Avengers: Endgame by a whopping 45%. It has set a new record on Atom Tickets. This record-breaking ticket sale has now placed Avengers: Endgame second, followed with Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on Atom Tickets. We will have to wait and see what the movie eventually makes at the box office.
This is what the director had to say to ET Canada about the final movie in the Skywalker Saga:
“The story that we’re telling, the story that we started to conceive when we did The Force Awakens
was allowed to continue. Episode VIII didn’t really derail anything that we were thinking about.”
“But I will say that the fun of this movie is that these characters are all together on this adventure as a group. That’s the thing that I was most excited about to see, the dynamic between these characters that these amazing actors play on this desperate, seat-of-your-pants adventure. That, to me, was the most fun, having the group together.”
